In that struggle, the Urquillo sisters will find love and seek justice.
Betty in Bellezas indomables
Betty Monroe played Berenice. In the character’s profile on the telenovela’s official site, in 2007, TV Azteca described her as “the female foil to the three sisters, who steals their father from them and then everything they have” (translated from Spanish). Her goal, according to the official synopsis, is to win back the wealth and power she lost as a girl. In the second episode, Rodrigo Urquillo (Fernando Sarfati) announces that he’ll marry her.
In October 2007 she told Notimex that she enjoyed being a villain in the telenovela. About Berenice she said:
“She’s a very bad woman, but an essential part of the story” (translated from Spanish).
During those months she also hosted Por fin, el fin, which had aired on Saturdays and Sundays since October 13, 2007, and she said it wasn’t hard to combine that show with the telenovela.
