Betty in Cielo rojo

Betty Monroe joined the recordings on Saturday, August 20, 2011, three months after the premiere. The next day she told Notimex:

“Yesterday was my first day of recording. I’m very happy because it’s a character very different from all the ones I’ve played, she’s good and she falls in love” (translated from Spanish).

“Her name is Sofía, she’s a divorced woman and a very good one” (translated from Spanish).

In the story, Sofía is an old love of Ricardo (Alberto Casanova) who comes to win him back, which makes Mariana (Aura Cristina Geithner), one of the villains, jealous. Her meeting with Ricardo came in episode 77, on September 6, 2011. In episode 124, on November 10, 2011, Sofía tells Alma that Andrés is still seeing Aleida.

After Cielo rojo, Betty Monroe acted in La mujer de Judas, the telenovela that took over the 9:30 p.m. slot from Cielo rojo.
